ASIN TULTUL (GUIMARAS)

Salt-inundated driftwood is collected along the shore of barangay Hoskyn in Jordan, Guimaras. These piece of wood are burned in a controlled manner and placed in a large sand filter and more seawater is poured through to create a concentrated brine. The brine is cooked down in pans and cut to “bareta” sizes.
